You can always look through the garage to see what extra supplies are lying around. But if it is going to be a good-looking repair it better match the kind of wooden appearance of deck boards. How about grabbing some of that leftover MD moulding from your front room remodel! While its nothing more than gorified cardboard you might be able to paint it so no one will be able to tell the difference.
Rockin’ Your Tub Drain Problems: If your tub drain keeps popping open you might consider calling a plumber to help you replace the mechanism. There is always a better way though! A little wire and a fist-sized garden rock is all you need. What I like about this is the use of gravity and the cost effectiveness of this repair. It is also a great way to give your pet rock something to do beside just sitting on your window sill.
