So did you get a wet dry vacuum as a Christmas gift? If so, it probably smells like new plastic and looks beautiful. The brand tag is clear and easy to read and the inside is so clean you could eat off it! After fifteen years my little 3.25 horsepower, 8 gallon Craftsman is anything but new. The only thing new thing about it at this moment is the new filter I bought for it. Now it really sucks!
Here’s some ideas for breaking in and using one of my favorite products.
Suck leaves and gunk from your gutters with virtually no ground mess to clean up.
Suck the water (and action figure) out of your toilet after you child’s bathroom playtime flush.
Suck the soapy hot water out of your carpet as you clean-up a pet accident.
Suck the dirt from the floor and mats in your car.
Suck the lint tray clean in your dryer to improve its operation.
Suck the furnace ductwork of dust by removing the floor register and sliding the hose down the hole.
Suck the dust from the grill of your baseboard and space heater.
Suck the dirt from your garage floor.
Suck the ashes from your wood-burning fireplace.
Suck up that item from your floor you do not want to touch with your hand.
Suck the cobwebs and bugs from you window tracks.
Suck the residual 2 inches of water at the bottom of your spa when changing the water out.
Suck the water from the floor if the toilet/sink/tub overflows.
As I mentioned in an earlier Fix It & Use It article – this is one of two tools I recommend every home owners has at their immediate disposal.
